Many people might think the major use of petroleum is for fuel, and it’s true, however, and petroleum and natural gas are not only used to generate electricity, there are over 6,000 everyday products and high-tech devices are made possible by oil.
Crude oil is refined into thousands of daily products including plastics, synthetic fabrics (polyester, nylon), lubricants, asphalt, fertilizers, and personal care items like shampoo and lipstick.
