Meanwhile, in a statement LPG Industries Association Chairman said that LPG was a cheaper fuel to meet the energy demands of the country. Although a shortage of natural gas was observed from December, which will further worsen during the acute winter season, he added.
The government should take timely and appropriate measures to control the shortage of gas in the country, adding that poor policies and exorbitant taxes already imposed on LPG prices have so far caused a negative impact on the overall industry, he said.
