ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to PM on Information and Broadcasting, Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that the National Science & Technology Park (NSTP) would be an important step towards a knowledge-based economy.
Firdous Ashiq Awan posted a tweet today about the inauguration ceremony of NSTP, ” It will provide a platform for creative minds to sit and create opportunities.”
یہ علم پر مبنی معیشت کے فروغ کی جانب اہم قدم ثابت ہوگا۔یہ تخلیقی ذہنوں کو مل کر بیٹھنے کا پلیٹ فارم مہیا کرے گا اور ٹیکنالوجی پر مبنی معیشت کی ترقی کے لیے عملی اقدامات اٹھانےکی مواقع پیدا کرے گا۔

Awan wrote, “This will be an important step towards the promotion of a knowledge-based economy.”
She added, “It will provide a platform for creative minds to sit and create opportunities to take practical steps for developing a technology-based economy.”

Awan’s tweet came after the initiative of NSTP which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Imran Khan earlier on Monday.
While addressing an event at the National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST) in Islamabad, the prime minister said that there was no shortcut to success.

According to the prime minister, the root cause of Pakistan’s downfall is the destruction of a merit-based system.
Khan said that merit and accountability have prime roles in a democratic system and monarchy cannot beat democracy.
