The Sindh government on Friday issued the notification of the 5 February public holiday for the entire province in account of Kashmir Day.
The notification was issued by the Services General Administration and Coordination Department (SGA&CD).
According to the notification, in order to express solidarity with the Kashmiri brethren and sisters all Sindh government and semi-government offices will remain closed on February 5 (Wednesday).
It should be noted that,Pakistan observes “Kashmir Day” on February 5 each year to express solidarity with the people of Indian-occupied Kashmir and their struggle for self-determination.
On this day demonstrations and events are held across the country to highlight the atrocities committed by Indian forces in the occupied region. Pakistan also observes this day as a public holiday. Although the federal government has not yet issued an official notification for this year.
