KARACHI: Former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi while highlighting the Karachi-rain issue said that there is no point in blaming each other.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi while talking to media in Karachi said that Karachi has many problems and these problems are not of the federal and provincial government. He said that the problems of Karachi would have to be solved together and there would be no point in blaming each other.
Abbasi said that the defense area of Karachi has been more affected and drainage should be better managed in Shar-e-Quaid. These problems need to be addressed.
Talking further on the issues of Karachi, he said that there was no need to politicize the issues. “When Maryam Nawaz was silent, people objected and when she was speaking, they also objected,” the former prime minister said.
Yesterday, MQM Pakistan leader Aamir Khan also said that if our problems are not solved then we may have to come out of the government.
“We are all worried about Karachi’s problems,” he said by adding, “We are under increasing pressure because people’s problems are not being solved.” He warned that if Karachi was destroyed, it would affect the whole of Pakistan.
