The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has announced gas load-shedding schedule for winter season in Sindh and Balochistan.
As per the gas utility, domestic consumers in Sindh will continue to experience a nightly gas shutdown from 10pm to 5am throughout the winter due to supply shortfall.
According to the company’s spokesperson, the updated timing is part of a load-management strategy approved by the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC).
The spokesperson added that SSGC had initially intended to avoid any interruptions for home consumers, but an unexpected dip in gas availability has made the seven-hour nightly cutoff unavoidable to stabilize pressure for morning usage.
She also noted that the CNG sector will face the strictest restrictions, including weekly shutdowns, as part of the broader effort to manage the ongoing shortage.
