ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on National Security Division and Strategic Policy Planning Maid Yousuf has said that no decision has been taken yet to resume railway operation from 1st April.
Talking to the media, he said that before 15th April 15, we would receive Rs. 1,50,000 security goods. On the other hand, Chairman NDMA Mohammad Afzal said that the number of laboratories in Pakistan was expanding, providing medical equipment to coronavirus affectees in Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir.
He said that the laboratories in Abbottabad and DI Khan would start work soon. About 5,000 coronavirus kits have been provided to the Sindh government, 5000 to Punjab and 4800 kits to Balochistan.
Earlier this month, Pakistan railways’ spokesman announced to suspend 42 trains till April as preventive steps to limit the spared of pandemic COVID-19. The twelve trains (6-up+down) were suspended last Sunday whereas 22 trains (11-up+down) were suspended from Tuesday morning last week.
