KARACHI: In a direct attack on the neutrality and apolitical nature of armed forces, a TV anchorperson Muneeb Farooq, who rose to fame for hosting shows with current head of the Pakistan Cricket Board, has claimed that the current Army Chief will never pardon Chairman PTI Imran Khan for (his alleged crime of) conspiring and trying to create hurdles in his way to grab the top slot of Chief of Army Staff (COAS).
Can any one explain what does our dear learned friend @muneebfaruqpak trying to say. pic.twitter.com/3gZZcSP28E

The claim by anchorperson Muneeb Farooq was made after reports that the Army Chief Gen Asim Munir, during a conversation with top leadership of the business community, had made it clear that he didn’t want to interfere into politics, and all questions related to elections were diverted to Finance Minister Ishaq Dar.

Speaking at a TV show last night, Muneeb Farooq made series of claims, saying “Imran Khan can’t make a comeback to power because, before the appointment of current Army Chief, he made a conspiracy which had been badly exposed, and there was no chance by any mean for Imran Khan to be forgiven.”
In a later tweet, Muneeb Farooq again alleged that former PM Imran Khan was conspiring to sabotage the appointment of Gen Asim Munir as the COAS, a reality which could be verified by many.
Sir, Its sad that your tweet did not surface when the former PM Imran Khan was conspiring to sabotage the appointment Gen Asim Munir as the COAS. A reality which could be verified by many. If you may kindly watch the entire clip, you would know the context. https://t.co/1OjKtvVy8N
