Former US president Donald Trump has blamed Megan Rapinoe for the USWNT’s penalty shootout loss to Sweden at the Women’s World Cup.
Trump used her spot kick, which soared high and wide, to attack the footballer and to make a statement about American politics in general. The two characters have previously battled.
This message seemed to be quite obvious revenge for how critical the USA captain was always of Donald Trump’s administration.
The former president used Truth Social to express his disapproval and to simultaneously criticize Joe Biden.
“The ‘shocking and totally unexpected’ loss by the US Women’s Soccer Team to Sweden is fully emblematic of what is happening to the our once great Nation under Crooked Joe Biden,” Trump wrote.
“Many of our players were openly hostile to America. No other country behaved in such a manner, or even close. WOKE EQUALS FAILURE. Nice shot Megan, the USA is going to Hell!!! MAGA.”
