A new road will be built alongside Lyari Expressway for the passage of trucks and trailers from Karachi, media reported on Saturday.
The construction of the road will allow heavy traffic to pass through the 25-kilometer corridor 24 hours a day.
According to the report, Exim Bank Korea has given a grant for the project to build another road parallel to the Lyari Expressway.
The feasibility study of the project will be completed in 8 months and work on the project will begin after that.
It should be noted that heavy traffic on Karachi roads causes fatal accidents every day. In recent weeks, many motorcyclists lost their lives after being crushed by dumb and other heavy vehicles in the port city.
Governor Sindh, Kamran Khan Tessori, has raised voice against the entry of the heavy traffic in the city during daytime and has called upon the Sindh government to resolve the heavy traffic issue in the city permanently.
