MUZAFFARABAD: Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Raja Farooq Haider, has said that newly constructed PM House has been converted into quarantine centre in order to facilitate the suspected patients of coronavirus.
Talking to journalists today (Sunday), Raja Farooq Haider said that the region’s government has converted officers clubs and rest houses into isolation centres amid coronavirus outbreak.
Raja Farooq Haider further said that the AJK government has established state-of-the-art laboratories in various cities for testing coronavirus.
AJK prime minister also said that the doctors and the paramedical staffs have been provided protective gears so that they can perform their duties without any fear.
Earlier on March 23, AJK Prime Minister enforced a three-week lockdown in the region in order to contain the outbreak of coronavirus.
Raja Farooq Haider had appealed to the public to stay in their homes and avoid going out unnecessarily.
Commenting on the restrictions, Raja Farooq had said that transport will remain suspended and people will not be allowed to go out unnecessarily during this period. However, he had added, special passes will be issued to people for travelling in inevitable circumstances.
