RAWALPINDI: A newborn child has gone missing from the labour room of the Holy Family Hospital in Rawalpindi.

Usman Arif, a resident of Gujrat, brought his wife for childbirth after she suffered from maternity complications at District Headquarters Hospital in Jhelum. She was later shifted to the private hospital and was expected to give birth to twins.

According to her family, the staff at the Holy Family Hospital conducted an ultrasound at the hospital which confirmed the expected birth of twins. However, after the delivery, only one child was handed to the family where another has gone missing.

The family has claimed that staff members of the hospital have hidden the medical reports and other documents. They said they have been demanding the return of the baby for the past two days but have been unheard. They demanded to know the whereabouts of the missing child.
