What are Black Butterflies about?
Black Butterflies is a psychological thriller, which starts slowly before intermingling the past and presents together in a cleverly woven story about family, loyalty – and murder.
Our protagonist is Adrien, who’s a down-and-out writer who’s hired by Albert Desiderio, a humble retired man, who decides to hire a novelist to write his memoirs. But as Albert diverges his bloody past he shared with lover Solange during the 70s, things soon take a turn for the dark.

Renewed or cancelled?
At the time of writing, Black Butterflies has not been renewed for a second season. Given the nature of the show’s content, that could well change if it does good numbers for Netflix.
