Nawaz Sharif lookalike in ‘Dhurandhar 2’ leaves audiences stunned

Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif, who has recently been staying away from the limelight since his brother became PM, has become the talk of the town, albeit, for a strange reason; his lookalike playing him in the recently released box-office blockbuster Dhurandhar 2.

MMP leader Nawab Shafiq, a character inspired by Nawaz Sharif, has such a striking resemblance to him that netizens are in awe of director Aditya Dhar for seemingly convincing the former prime minister to appear in his film.

Mashhoor Amrohi, who plays Nawab Shafiq in Dhurandhar 2, comes from a distinguished film legacy. He is the grandson of legendary filmmaker Kamal Amrohi, known for iconic classics like Pakeezah, Mahal, and Razia Sultan. Continuing the family’s creative tradition, Mashhoor is also the son of Tajdar Amrohi, making him part of a lineage deeply rooted in cinema.

It is worth mentioning that Dhurandhar: The Revenge, a sequel to the 2025 film Dhurandhar, has been a massive success since its release.

The film stars Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, Gaurav Gera, Danish Pandor, and Manav Gohil, with several actors reprising their roles from the first installment. It follows an undercover Indian intelligence agent who continues to infiltrate Karachi’s criminal syndicates and Pakistani politics while avenging the 26/11 attacks and confronting larger threats.
