Before setting the home on fire, Aliya reportedly shouted “You’re all going to die today” before setting the fire on November 2. The fire broke out in a detached garage at Jacobs’ home, with the victims unable to escape.
Nargis Fakhri’s sister faces multiple charges, including four counts of first-degree murder, and could face life imprisonment if convicted. Her next court appearance is scheduled for December 9.
As reported by Indian media, Aliya, 43, allegedly continued to pursue Jacobs after their breakup, despite his attempts to distance himself. Jacobs’ mother claimed he had been trying to end the relationship for a year.
On the other side, Nargis Fakhri’s mother has denied the allegations, expressing disbelief that Aliya could be involved in such a crime.
