ISLAMABAD: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) and Excise and Taxation Department teams have launched door-to-door service to register vehicles.
According to details, the team will also issue registration and number plates at the personal residences of the owner. The step has been taken to ease the problems of the people caused due to the lockdown imposed in the city.
Islamabad Excise and Taxation Director said they are implementing the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan. He said the registration of cars will be enrolled on customer’s doorstep. The team for registration will include an officer from the Excise Department and a team member of NADRA.
According to the director of the excise department, the citizens can refrain from going to the excise office and wait in the queues. After the phone call of the customers, the NADRA team and Excise Department will go home and register the vehicles.
He said the decision has been taken in view of the lockdown imposed in the country due to coronavirus. The facility will continue to be provided in the excise office even after the lockdown is eased.
