The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested Atif Muhammad Khan, husband of renowned model and actress Nadia Hussain, on allegations of embezzling approximately Rs 540 million from a private bank.
According to FIA officials, a case (FIR No. 9/25) has been registered at the Corporate Crime Circle Karachi following a complaint from the bank’s board of directors.
Investigations revealed that Atif Khan, who previously served as the CEO of the bank’s securities division, allegedly misused company funds for personal trading and engaged in fraudulent financial activities.
The FIA further alleges that Atif Khan, with the facilitation of the bank’s Chief Financial Officer Faisal Sheikh and another individual, Imtiaz Ahmed, manipulated company accounts, engaged in fraudulent transactions, and altered financial ledgers to cover up fund mismanagement.
Following his arrest, Atif Khan was presented before a customs court, which approved a four-day physical remand for further investigation.
Nadia Hussain and Atif Khan have been married since 2003 and have four children together. As of now, Nadia Hussain has not released an official statement regarding her husband’s arrest.
