ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has summoned former prime minister Nawaz Sharif in a case related to media tycoon Mir Shakil ur Rehman tomorrow.
The NAB Lahore has directed Nawaz Sharif to appear before the Joint Investigation Team at 11 am on the designated date to record his preliminary statement.
According to the NAB, Nawaz Sharif in his tenure as the Punjab chief minister allotted a 54-Kanal plot of land in 1986 to Mir Shakil ur Rehman.
Nawaz Sharif who is currently staying in London after being granted bail on medical grounds has been in pressure by the federal government to return back to the country.
Mir Shakil ur Rahman was arrested by the NAB on 12th March when he appeared before the Lahore bureau in relation to the private property case.
