ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has claimed that Muslims were facing insecurity in India and being subjected to torture.
In his statement, the foreign minister said that more than 20 people have been killed in riots in New Delhi during the last two days.
While highlighting the mediation offer made by United States President, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that Donald Trump’s offer of mediation over occupied Kashmir had been continuously denied by India.
Earlier Qureshi said that Trump demanded India to play a positive role in the region. The US President expressed a desire for peace and stability in the region, adding that resolution of Kashmir issue is linked with peace and stability in South Asia.
Qureshi further said that Donald Trump told the world that Pakistan is a partner of peace in the war on terror, adding that Pakistan’s role in the region is being lauded.
