Karachi has become a battleground for politicians as MQM (Pakistan) convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has announced to file a case against Sindh Chief Minister while demonstrations were held in different cities of Sindh including Karachi, Mirpur Khas, and Hyderabad.
According to details, MQM-P convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui yesterday announced a black day on the alleged martyrdom of a worker and injuring other workers with batons and shelling under the Anti-Terrorism Act.
MQM-P convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said that we will celebrate Black Day as a day of mourning after the martyrdom of the activist. Let the PPP start counting the countdown. A citizen who was protesting peacefully was martyred. Sindh police are responsible for this. Syed Murad Ali Shah will continue to register a case against him.
On the other hand, demonstrations took place in different cities including Hyderabad and Mirpur Khas against police violence and lathi charge on MQM (Pakistan) workers. Protests took place at the intersections of Hyderabad. Latifabad No. 11, 12, Koh-e-Noor Chowk, Tilak Chari, and other areas including Liberty were protested by burning tires.

MQM workers were found in droves and rallies in different areas. On this occasion, slogans were chanted against the Sindh government and PPP as well as Sindh Chief Minister. In Mirpur Khas also, solidarity was expressed with MQM workers who were injured by burning tires.
The Sindh government deployed Rangers in different areas and also increased police patrols. Yesterday, the MQM staged a sit-in outside the Wazira Ali House on which the police charged batons and shelled. One worker was killed and several others were injured, and a day of mourning is being observed today and the protest will continue.
