The live-action version of its classic animated film, ‘The Little Mermaid’ has been released on digital platforms including Apple TV, Prime Video, and Vudu/Fandango.
The film, which was released in May, will also be released on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD on September 19, 2023. The Little Mermaid tells the story of Ariel, a mermaid princess who longs to go to the surface world, eventually making a bargain with the evil Ursula to become human and win the heart of Prince Eric, which is short-lived as Ursula attempts to woo Eric for herself with the help of Ariel’s voice.

The Little Mermaid is one of the long-standing favorites of Disney’s animated library and continues to maintain its popularity from generation to generation.
‘The Little Mermaid’ has been directed by Rob Marshall with a screenplay by David Magee, and is produced by Marc Platt, Lin-Manuel Miranda, John DeLuca, and Rob Marshall.
