New update for motorway drivers across Pakistan

Motorway speed limit rules changed again

LAHORE: The government has restored the previous speed limits on motorways and national highways, bringing relief to travelers.

According to news reports, the speed limit for cars and light vehicles on motorways has been set back to 120 kilometers per hour. For passenger and heavy vehicles, the limit has been restored to 110 kilometers per hour.

On national highways, the earlier speed limits for cars, light vehicles, passenger and heavy vehicles have also been reinstated.

Motorway Police said implementation of the restored limits has started immediately.

A Motorway Police spokesperson said safety along with convenience remains the top priority. Citizens were urged to follow the prescribed speed limits and traffic rules, use seat belts and keep speed under control for safe travel.
