In Karachi, there is a motorcycle “graveyard” where two-wheelers are available for purchase at the unique price of Rs400 per kilogram.
The recently surfaced video report unveils the existence of a motorcycle and vehicle “graveyard” in the heart of Karachi. This repository houses motorcycles and vehicles entangled in legal complexities, estranged from their original owners.
If a citizen finds their bike or vehicle impounded due to a legal case, the retrieval process involves a visit to the relevant police station where the case is registered. A First Information Report (FIR) must be filed, followed by court proceedings.
Remarkably, the vehicles detained in legal battles, residing within this vehicular graveyard, can be reclaimed with a No Objection Certificate (NOC) obtained through legal representation in court.
Situated in the Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of the city, this graveyard, showcased in an MM News video, is not only a repository for confiscated vehicles but also harbors stolen motorcycles recovered by the authorities.
Surprisingly, many citizens are unaware that their lost or stolen bikes and cars might find a second chance at life in this unconventional facility. Aptly named “Nazarat,” this graveyard is not limited to stolen vehicles; it also houses vehicles seized during investigations, termed as case property in police jargon.
The graveyard serves as a unique and multifaceted repository, offering a potential avenue for citizens to reclaim their lost or confiscated vehicles, adding a distinctive chapter to Karachi’s vehicular landscape.
