A deeply heartbreaking and horrifying incident that shames humanity has occurred in Donga Bonga tehsil of Bahawalnagar district in Punjab, where a mother allegedly placed her own newborn baby girl inside a plastic bag and abandoned her in a filthy water pond.
According to details, local residents of the neighborhood, having noticed the mother’s suspicious and mysterious activities, immediately called the police and informed them.
As soon as the report was received, police personnel reached the scene at once, and then brave local residents, together with the police, carried out a joint rescue operation, as a result of which the newborn baby girl was miraculously pulled out alive and unharmed from the filthy water pond.
Police officials have said in this regard that, considering the baby’s fragile condition, she has been immediately shifted to a local hospital for first aid, where doctors are continuously and closely monitoring her health and condition.
