ISLAMABAD: Former Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi can become whoever he wants, including the Prime Minister.

Speaking during a private TV (Ek News) program, the former interior minister said that the impression of keeping interior minister Mohsin Naqvi away from the ECL committee is wrong. “They are everywhere and will be everywhere,” he said by adding, “You have also seen Faisal Wauda being elected as a senator.”

During the conversation, Rana Sanaullah said, “You are looking at Mohsin Naqvi, and also look at Faisal Vawda and Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar. Some people are essential to running the system. I think that not chairing the ECL committee was an old practice that has continued.”

Sanaullah said, “When I became interior minister, I myself was not in the ECL committee. My own name was in the ECL when I was made home minister, so the headship was given to the law minister instead of me. The committee removed my name from ECL. I did not think it appropriate to head later.”
