Modi praises PM Khan to open Kartarpur corridor for Sikhs
GURUDWARA: Indian Premier Narendra Modi has praised Prime Minister Imran Khan for opening of the Kartarpur corridor for Sikh pilgrims.
Narendra Modi said, “I would like to thank the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan for respecting the sentiments of India.”
Imran Khan will inaugurate the Kartapur corridor. Several other events are being held in Kartarpur to mark Guru Nanak Dev’s birth anniversary.
Kartarpur is a visa-free corridor where Sikh pilgrims can come after getting their passports scanned and bio passport scanned, and biometric confirmation with a nominal payment of service charges of only 20 dollars per head. The pilgrims will come in the morning and will return in the evening.

Kartarpur will link Dera Baba Nanak Gurudwara in India’s Gurdaspur district to Kartarpur Darbar Sahib in Pakistan.
Both the shrines are dedicated to the founder of Sikhism, Guru Nanak, whose 550th birth anniversary is being celebrated.
Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan inaugurates the corridor at the end of the route in Pakistan. Several other events are being held in Kartarpur to mark Guru Nanak Dev’s birth anniversary.
