KARACHI: A former senior officer of the Sindh Police has introduced a dramatic new theory into the high-profile Mir Raza Ali case, speculating that the 25-year-old entrepreneur and IBA graduate may still be alive and hiding to evade heavy debt liabilities.
In a detailed social media write-up, former Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Niaz Ahmed Khosa alleged that the case bears signs of “great engineering,” drawing a direct parallel to a recent identity-fraud scam in Surjani Town where a couple allegedly murdered a bystander to fake a death and claim financial relief.
Sensational Claims of Identity Swap & Fraud
Former SSP Khosa raised deep skepticism regarding the identity of the remains exhumed at the PECHS cemetery, pointing to severe physical distortion and chemical damage:
– Distorted Physical Evidence: Khosa alleged that the victim’s fingerprints were destroyed and the face was heavily disfigured using acid. He claimed senior investigative officers he consulted share similar doubts.
– Financial Motive: Highlighting reports that Mir Raza may have carried substantial life insurance coverage, Khosa noted that insurance claims are voided in suicide cases, creating a strong financial incentive to stage a homicide or swap identities.
