Will raise gas issue with PM, Shah assures industrialists

KARACHI: Provincial Minister of Local bodies Sindh Syed Nasir Hussain Shah had assured industrialists to elevate concerns before Prime Minister Imran Khan about gas outages to Industry in Sindh province.

While talking to industrialists representatives at Korangi Association of Trade & Industry (KATI) here Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said that several projects to develop connectivity would be starting soon.

Minister of Local bodies said that the bid of Malir express had to be awarded and the construction work would start soon. He said that a four-lane bridge from Korangi Causeway to Crossing would also be built soon.

Shah mentioned that industry is our first priority as per the directions of Party Leadership and all issues will be resolved on prior basses. He told that the provincial government is working to restore the water supply and sewerage infrastructure of Karachi, adding that all contracts for solid waste management had been reviewed and the system would be restructured quickly.

President KATI Sheikh Umer Rehan briefed the minister regarding problems faced by Korangi Industrial Area. He mentioned that KWSB is part of the problem and even didn’t respond to the 100 complaints that were made for 3 months. He urged to restructure the institution to remove these hurdles in the way of industry.
