ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has restored the membership of 24 more parliamentarians and allowed them to function as members of the Senate, National Assembly and provincial assemblies.
The members who got restoration of their membership included four members National Assembly, nine members Punjab assembly, five members Sindh Assembly, five members of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and one member Balochistan assembly.
sources said, the ECP’s move came after the parliamentarians, who were suspended over non-submission of the details of their assets, filed their statements of assets and liabilities, and completed the legal condition in conformance with the requirement of election laws.
It is worth to mention here that the ECP had suspended the membership of 318 parliamentarians for non-submission of till their statements of assets and liabilities.
