At the Khatm-e-Nabuwwat Golden Jubilee Conference held at Minar-e-Pakistan in Lahore, a massive gathering of millions of devotees from across the country was witnessed.
The conference was organized to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the 7th September 1974 National Assembly resolution declaring the Ahmadiyya community as non-Muslim and resolving the issue of Khatm-e-Nabuwwat (Finality of Prophethood). All major religious parties collaborated to host this Golden Jubilee event.
The conference was jointly hosted by Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam and the well-known forum Alami Majlis Tahaffuz Khatm-e-Nabuwwat (International Council for the Protection of the Finality of Prophethood).
Key attendees included Maulana Fazlur Rehman, senior scholars from Wafaq-ul-Madaris Al-Arabia, representatives of religious seminaries, and central leaders of the International Council for the Protection of the Finality of Prophethood.
In his address, council leader Qazi Ehsan Ahmed stated that the gathering of millions has demonstrated that no power can challenge the devotees of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He remarked that fifty years of efforts by the elders had culminated, with their tireless work resulting in the legal declaration of Ahmadis as non-Muslims. He praised the struggle of the elders, particularly regarding the 1974 resolution.
He further added that the movement for the finality of prophethood, initiated by Maulana Mufti Mahmood in the parliament, would continue under the leadership of Maulana Fazlur Rehman on all platforms.
The conference continued until the night prayers, with speeches from prominent figures including senior Jamaat-e-Islami leader Liaqat Baloch, Ahl-e-Hadith leader Allama Ibtisam Elahi Zaheer, Maulana Fazlur Raheem Ashrafi from Jamia Ashrafia, Chairman of the Hilal Committee Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, Maulana Allah Wasaya, Allama Rashid Soomro, Dr. Nasiruddin Swati, and other notable scholars from across the country.
