In the Netherlands, 150,000 people gathered in support of Palestinians to protest against the genocide of Palestinians by Israel, as reported by international media.
In the Dutch city of The Hague, a large public demonstration was held on Sunday against the ongoing Israeli military operations in Gaza and the policies of the Dutch government. According to the organizers, 150,000 people participated.
Women, children, the elderly, and youth all took part in the protest, wearing red clothing to form a “red line” against Israeli aggression. The demonstrators chanted slogans, delivered speeches, and marched in front of the International Court of Justice — the same court where South Africa has filed a genocide case against Israel.
The protesters demanded that Israel halt its attacks on Gaza, ensure the provision of humanitarian aid, and that the international community play a role in protecting the rights of the Palestinian people.
It is worth noting that the court last year ordered Israel to stop military operations in the southern city of Rafah and allow humanitarian access — an order Israel refused to implement.
Israel rejects the allegations of war crimes and genocide, claiming these actions are part of its right to self-defense.
This protest occurred at a time when the war in Gaza has entered its 20th month. The war began on October 7, 2023, when Hamas launched rockets at Israel, while the Israeli military carried out ground and air attacks on unarmed civilians in Gaza, resulting in over 50,000 deaths so far.
