LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice-President Maryam Nawaz has tested positive for coronavirus.

The was confirmed party’s spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb. She added that Maryam Nawaz has gone into self-quarantine after testing positive. The information secretary also asked people to pray for the early recovery of Covid-19 patients, including Maryam.

Maryam Nawaz had recently led the party’s election campaign polls in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) held on July 25.

Maryam took to Twitter and said she was receiving treatment at home. “I have fever, cough and flu symptoms but am being treated at home,” she said, adding that she was overwhelmed by outpouring of prayers and good wishes by her supporters.
