Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, departs for China today on an 8-day official visit at the invitation of the International Development Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
According to a report by Pak Observer on Sunday, a high-level delegation of ten members, including Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, will accompany her. This was revealed in a statement issued on Saturday.
The visit will include stops in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou, with meetings scheduled with Mr. Liu Jianzhou, Minister of the CPC’s International Department. Deputy Minister Ms. Sun Haiyan will host a luncheon in her honor. Maryam will also engage with the central CPC leadership, including the Minister of Environment.
During her visit, she will explore Shijiazhuang Hospital to learn about China’s public health system and visit institutions like the Beijing Municipal Commission of Transport and the Science Park. The agenda includes insights into China’s advancements in environmental technology, IT, and scientific research.
Additionally, the Chief Minister will participate in the exhibition of imported goods, attend the CPC Central Congress and museum, and visit a primary school to study China’s education system. Highlights of the trip also include the Punjab China Dinner and Punjab Investment Conference.
