They say leadership is about getting your hands dirty or, in this case, making the tea. In a viral clip sweeping social media, Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz proved she knows her way around a dhaba kitchen, stopping her convoy on the Murree Expressway to personally fix a cup of tea before heading into high-level development meetings
If you ever doubted Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s “common touch,” here is the proof.
The footage, which has since gone viral, shows the Chief Minister stepping out of her convoy and taking charge of the stove, much to the surprise of local onlookers and hotel staff.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif arrived in Murree via the Expressway, where she is set to stay at her residence at Bagh-e-Shaheedan, Kashmir Point. Notably, PML-N President Nawaz Sharif is also currently present at his Kashmir Point residence.
Beyond the viral tea break, the visit carries a heavy administrative weight. According to sources, the Chief Minister is in the hill station to conduct a detailed review of the Murree Development Plan, receive briefings on the ongoing Murree Mall Road Operation as well as evaluate the progress of the highly anticipated Glass Train Project, aimed at boosting tourism in the region.
