LAHORE: The Chief Organizer and Vice President of the ruling party Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN), Maryam Nawaz has severely criticized PTI Chief Imran Khan while addressing Labor Wing of her party here on Monday.
addressing the gathering, she expressed surprise at the active participation of party workers in the Labor Wing and urged them to strengthen the wing further.
Maryam Nawaz appreciated the efforts of workers and praised the Labor Wing for its active role in the party’s affairs. She also highlighted the worsening economic situation in the country, however adding that the minimum wage of workers had been raised to Rs. 35,000 by the current government. Maryam Nawaz stated that in her opinion, the minimum wage of workers should be increased to Rs. 40,000.
She emphasized the importance of labor in the progress of the country, and said that no one had contributed as much as labor in the development of Pakistan.
Taking the opportunity to bash PTI, Maryam Nawaz also called out the current Prime Minister Imran Khan, whom she referred to as “fitna,” for taking out a labor rally in Lahore.
She urged Khan to stop making conspiracies against the country and work towards the progress of Pakistan. She said that if the country were run on the vision of Nawaz Sharif, no one would need to go abroad for work.
The PMLN Chief Organizer highlighted the progress made during the tenure of her father, Nawaz Sharif, as Prime Minister in 2017, where a bread was available for only Rs. 2, inflation was down, load shedding was being eradicated, motorways were being constructed, and the economy was making progress.
She said that only one person is obstructing the progress of Pakistan, and that is Imran Khan.
