LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz lashed out at Prime Minister Imran Khan, saying ‘Obedient Khan’ was more lethal than COVID-19.

“People of Lahore have buried the government which came into power on a fake promise of change at Minar-e-Pakistan today,” she said, while addressing the final power show of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) in Lahore. PML-N Vice President Maryam thanked the citizens of Lahore for attending the public meeting in overwhelming numbers.

Referring to PM Imran, she said that someone had challenged PDM in Pharoah’s tone to gather enough people to fill up Minar-i-Pakistan’s grounds. “Participants of the public meeting had filled up adjoining streets as well,” she claimed.

Referring to the PTI gathering at Minar-i-Pakistan in 2011, Maryam Nawaz claimed that the public meeting was arranged by former ISI chief Shujaa Pasha.

Talking about the Panama Papers case, she said, “Former chief justice Asif Saeed Khosa told the incumbent prime minister to file an application after which Imran Khan ousted Nawaz Sharif on the basis of an iqama through a fixed match”.

She also questioned PM Imran’s offer for dialogue through the Parliament, asking who was behind the operations of the House. “You (Imran Khan) will have to go, you had ruined the country’s economy and had lied to the people,” she added.

“For the past three years, obedient Khan had been saying that he will not grant an NRO. Today, the prime minister is seeking an NRO from Nawaz Sharif and the people,” she reiterated.

Maryam further said that COVID-18 Taabedaar Khan Imran Khan was more lethal than COVID-19 pandemic. “Because of COVID-18 Pakistan’s progress, along with its wheat, sugar, gas, electricity, salaries, medicines have all been put under quarantine,” she asserted.

She also expressed grief that seven patients in Peshawar’s Khyber Teaching Hospital had died due to a shortage in oxygen supply and question the PTI government’s performance in the health sector.

Meanwhile, the PML-N leader also urged the participants to wear masks. “I value and care for your life but it was important to attend public meetings to oust the ‘selected’ government,” she added.

“The Prime Minister used to say that PM House and Governor House would be turned into a university. But did it happen?” she asked. Maryam Nawaz concluded her address by saying, “Promise me, if you have to march towards Islamabad, you will march.”
