Mariyam Nafees has given me the right to troll: Tabish Hashmi

Famous comedian Tabish Hashmi has addressed his viral inappropriate joke with Mariyam Nafees on a live show.

Tabish Hashmi made an appearance in Hafiz Ahmed’s podcast where he addressed his viral joke controversy talking about most of it, he said, “An embarrassing moment recently happened when a joke with Mariyam Nafees went viral.”

According to Hashmi, Mariyam Nafees is his very close friend. “We share a great camaraderie. and we are that kind of naughty people.” He continued that even her husband was very good friend of Hashmi. “However, I think that some things should remain personal,” he said by adding, “I should have controlled myself from cracking such a joke. I also asked Mariyam Nafees about addressing it but she stopped me, she said, ‘I am chill about it, you don’t have to clarify it'”.

Talking about trolling Mariyam Nafees unnecessarily in the live shows, Tabish Hashmi said, “Mariyam Nafees is a very close friend of mine, she has given me the right to troll, likewise, she trolls me a lot but I take advantage of being a spontaneous comedian”.

What happened?

A video clip of Tabish Hashmi from his PSL show in February 2024 showed Mariyam Nafees, the co-host, responding to Tabish’s question about her favorite PSL team. Mariyam Nafees stated, “I like Peshawar Zalmi, then other teams, and Karachi in the last because they don’t perform well.” In response to Mariyam’s comment, Tabish made an extremely inappropriate remark regarding Mariyam’s husband, which the audience did not appreciate.
