LAHORE: The Lahore High Court will hear the petition of former law minister Rana Sanaullah in which he has challenged the National Accountability Bureau (NAB)’s inquiry against him in the assets case.
LHC Justice Ali Baqir Najafi will conduct the hearing. Rana Sanaullah in his petition requested the court to declare NAB’s probe as declared null and void.
Moreover, the NAB had summoned Sanaullah on 6th March. He along with Mian Javed Latif had received the NAB notices in this regard. Both Pakistan Muslim League-N leaders are not cooperating with the bureau under the NAB Amendment Ordinance Act.
An anti-narcotics court on 8th February turned down all the petition filed by Sanaullah and fixed the hearing of drugs case against him on 7th March.
Earlier on 3rd February, Sanaullah skipped hearing over personal issues in the assets case.
The PML-N leader was arrested on 1st July by the ANF when he was traveling from Faisalabad to Lahore. According to an ANF spokesperson, a large number of drugs were recovered from the PML-N leader’s car.
