LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) ordered Punjab government to bring health report of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, today on Thursday.
Sources said that the bench which was headed by Justice Ali Baqar Najafi and while hearing a petition to seek release of Nawaz Sharif bail on health grounds, the bench asked for medical report of former PM questioning, why Nawaz Sharif did not file the petition himself?
Sources further added that the counsel informed the bench that due to poor health, Nawaz Sharif was shifted to Services Hospital where he was admitted as medical examination detected low platelets counts. Due to this reason, the petition was filed by former Chief Minister of Punjab, Shehbaz Sharif.
The counsel further added that, “The doctors are trying but yet to diagnose the reason of the low count of platelets,” the counsel said. “His life is under threat due to the health condition but he could be treated abroad.”
