The news went viral when a video of the assault circulated on social media.
Shakargarh police confirmed the news and said that the incident occurred after an aggressive argument.
According to police sources, the woman, named Amrat came to appear in a case hearing. The woman is taking a legal action regarding the installment of a door in the street where she lives.
