Preparations are in full swing as Independence Day approaches closer. Ahead of the festive occasion, the largest flag in Pakistan has been unveiled in Karachi.
The 200 feet by 130 feet flag is the largest national flag in the past twenty years. This flag has been prepared on order by a government institution in Punjab.
The initiative to design the largest flag is being done by Nisar Ahmed Parchamwala since 1985, his son told MM News.
In the older days, the crescent and star on the national flag were made by hand. But he started making him on a machine and introduced him in the market after which his work started getting praised.
The flag maker said they prepared the world’s largest flag in 2004 measuring 173,000 square feet, which entered the Guinness Book of World Records.
He said the flag is proportional to the official measurement. If you take the 2 feet by 3 feet flag, then this is proportional to it. The crescent and moon have been made proportional.
