Authorities in a region of Lahore have apprehended an individual for the alleged sexual assault of his domestic worker during the absence of his spouse.
A representative from the police department indicated that the operation was initiated following a report received from the Shadman area on the 15th. The spokesperson noted that the suspect had summoned the domestic worker to his residence for employment while his wife was away.
Upon the domestic worker’s arrival, the accused reportedly assaulted her and issued threats of severe repercussions should she disclose the incident to anyone.
Law enforcement has filed charges against the suspect, identified as Tahir, and has transferred him to the Gender Cell for further proceedings.
SP Model Town Akhlaq Tarrar emphasized that individuals who exploit women are unworthy of leniency.
Earlier this month, a police officer was detained in the Manawan area of Lahore for the alleged rape of a woman who was begging.
According to police reports, the suspect also discharged a firearm at an individual attempting to intervene and document the occurrence.
