KARACHI: As many as 708 candidates appeared in the entry test for the bachelors program in the Departments of Computer Science and Applied Physics of the University of Karachi (KU) on Sunday.
The in-charge Directorate Admissions Committee KU Dr Saima Akhtar informed that the University of Karachi has received 854 forms for the Entry Test-Based Bachelors Program Admissions 2020.
709 candidates appeared. She mentioned that 18 examination rooms of faculty of arts and social sciences were arranged for these candidates.
She said that the test was started at 10:30 am and concluded at 12:10 pm while the initial list of the successful candidates was uploaded in the evening. The final list of the successful candidates would be available on the Karachi University website www.uok.edu.pk on January 05, 2020.
KU 15th Nematological Workshop on 30 Dec
The University of Karachi is organizing a two-day long 15th Nematological Seminar cum Workshop on the ‘significance of nematode identification for better management’ at the National Namatological Research Center, KU.
The KU in collaboration with the Pakistan Society of Nematologists and Pakistan Science Foundation has jointly organized the workshop which would start at 10 am on Monday (today) at the NNRC KU.
KU Youm-e-Jamia and Orientation Day 2020 on Jan 1
The University of Karachi is observing its Youm-e-Jamia (University Day) on January 01, 2020, at 08:30 am. All the faculty members, employees and students would gather at the Silver Jubilee Gate to be a part of the procession which will enter the varsity with the recitation of the Holy Quran by the team of Huffaz-e-Quran.
The activities of Youm-e-Jamia, which will start from Silver Jubilee Gate with the recitation of the Holy Quran, will conclude in front of the New Administration Building where dignitaries will address the gathering.
Moreover, like the previous year, the orientation classes for new entrants in all the departments are scheduled on the same day at 11:00 am.
