PESHAWAR: The federal government has decided to spend more than Rs.26 billion for the provision of natural gas schemes in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
According to a spokesperson of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL), work on various gas supply projects have been underway in Hazara, Malakand, Mardan, Kohat, Peshawar, and Dera Ismail Khan Divisions.
The spokesman added that the government completed more than one thousand projects in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the fiscal year 2018-19. The supply of natural gas will ensure the protection of forests in the province.
