FAISALABAD: Five police officials have been arrested in an alleged kidnapping-for-ransom case in Faisalabad today (Tuesday).
According to details, the apprehended police officials had kidnapped two citizens from the office of SP Central Intelligence Agency and shifted them to an unidentified place. The abducted persons were identified as Masood and Sarwar.
The accused officials demanded Rs 1.5 million as ransom from their families and threatened to kill the abducted persons.
The apprehended officials released the abducted citizen after receiving six lakh as ransom from their families.
Afterwards, Masood lodged a case against the involved officials in the Civil Lines Police Station.
The investigation was launched against the officials by the police and all of the involved persons were found guilty.
