ISLAMABAD: The government has increased the prices of kerosene oil, light diesel, and jet fuel, according to an official notification issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).
As per the revised rates, the price of light diesel oil has been increased by Rs1.62 per litre, bringing its new price to Rs275.54 per litre.
Similarly, the price of kerosene oil has been raised by Rs1.71 per litre, with the new rate fixed at Rs313.44 per litre.
Jet fuel prices have also been increased by Rs2.10 per litre, setting the new price at Rs332.32 per litre.
OGRA has formally issued the notification regarding the revised petroleum product prices, which will be applicable immediately. The adjustment comes as part of the regular review of international market trends and domestic pricing mechanisms.
A day earlier, the government had announced a reduction in petroleum product prices, providing relief to consumers across Pakistan.
According to the latest notification, the price of petrol has been reduced by Rs6 per litre. The price of diesel has also been decreased by Rs6.80 per litre.
The revised fuel prices will come into effect from 12:00am tonight. Officials stated that the new petrol and diesel rates will remain applicable for one week under the latest pricing review.
