ISLAMABAD: Kashmiris across the world, including Pakistan, especially those living on both sides of the Pakistan-India border (LoC), are observing Black Day today, which is observed every year to commemorate the illegal occupation of the occupied valley by India.

According to the details, there is a complete strike in the occupied valley today on the occasion of Black Day. On October 27, 1947, India illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, which is celebrated every year as Black Day by the oppressed Kashmiri people.

In the last 75 years, the usurping Indian army inflicted the worst violence on the oppressed Kashmiris, but the freedom struggle of the Kashmiris could not be suppressed. Pakistan has always supported the freedom struggle and insisted on resolving the Kashmir issue in accordance with the UN resolutions.

For the first time, the Indian Army stepped into the Jannat Nazir Valley on 27th October 1947, after which the atrocities that started have not stopped to date. The purpose of celebrating Black Day is to convince the international community that India’s occupation of Kashmir is illegal.

During the last 75 years, the repression and cruelty of the Indian army have continued with the same intensity. On August 5, 2019, by changing the constitutional status of Jammu and Kashmir, India tried to take away the identity of the Kashmiris. The purpose of celebrating Black Day is to expose the hideous face of India.
