Karachi is set to experience heavy rain and thunderstorms on July 29 and 30, according to a weather report from the Met Office. A strong monsoon system is expected to enter Sindh on the night of July 28 (Sunday).
The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a caution about heavy rainfall nationwide from July 28 to 31. The NDMA reported that monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea will move into the upper parts of the country, bringing significant rainfall during this period.
The weather system is expected to cause heavy rainfall in various parts of Karachi, with some areas potentially experiencing intense downpours. Additionally, several other districts in Sindh are likely to be affected by the incoming weather system.
There is also a risk of flash floods due to the new monsoon system. Areas such as upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Galliyat, Murree, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir are anticipated to receive heavy rains and thunderstorms as a result of this weather pattern.
Karachi and other coastal districts of Sindh experiencing cloudy weather today as light rainfall or drizzle is expected in different areas of the region.
