KARACHI: Karachi has reported the first death from the deadly coronavirus (COVID 19) on Friday.
Dr. Azra Pechuho Minister of Health Sindh has confirmed a 77-year-old patient has died in Karachi due to COVID 19. She also said the patient was a cancer survivor and had diabetes and hypertension.
With the new death in the list, the total number of death due to COVID 19 in Pakistan has risen to three. Two patients died due to novel coronavirus in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa – one in Mardan and other in Peshawar on Wednesday.
The confirmed cases of coronavirus in Pakistan have climbed to 458 as more cases have been reported across the country on Friday.
Sindh: Sindh government has confirmed 245 cases with new cases that emerged in Sukkur and Karachi.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: There are 27 confirmed cases of the coronavirus while a partial lockdown has been placed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to dawdling the spread of the coronavirus. KP Health Minister Taimur Jhagra confirmed the cases in a tweet on Friday morning.
Punjab: In Punjab province, the number of cases increased to 80 with two new cases late on Thursday night. Yesterday, 55 cases were reported in DG Khan. The government has imposed section 144.
Islamabad: There are four patients being treated for the disease.Balochistan: There are 81 confirmed cases in Balochistan.
Gilgit Baltistan and AJK: As many as 25 people tested positive for the coronavirus in the Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Jammu Kashmir.
