KARACHI: In a heartening development, Karachi Police successfully reunited two missing four-year-old girls with their families following swift coordination and timely action, bringing immense relief and joy to their grateful parents.
According to police, the Karachi Police MILAP Unit 15 received reports on July 16, 2026, regarding the disappearance of two minor girls, Shehnaz and Sadaf both aged four, from Orangi Town. The unit immediately issued missing person alerts and launched efforts to trace the children.
On July 18, in Case No. 9856 the MILAP Unit identified Shehnaz after receiving her photograph from Head Moharrir Mehtab Khan of Kalakot Police Station. Following the completion of all legal formalities, the child was safely reunited with her family.
Later the same day, in Case No. 9857 the unit identified Sadaf through a photograph sent by ASI M. Ahmed of Azizabad Police Station. Under the supervision of SHO Zubair Awan, the necessary legal procedures were completed before the girl was safely handed over to her relatives.
The successful recoveries were made possible through close coordination between Karachi Police’s MILAP Unit 15, Kalakot Police Station and Azizabad Police Station, whose prompt communication and professional teamwork ensured both children were located and returned safely.
The emotional reunions were marked by scenes of relief, with the parents expressing profound gratitude to the police officers involved. Family members thanked the Karachi Police for their swift response, tireless efforts and professionalism, saying their timely intervention had ended an agonising ordeal and safely brought their daughters back home.
